The Characters That Can’t Live Without A Nice Glass of Wine

Everyone loves to veg out in front of the TV and watch their favorite shows. An even better way to TV binge is with a glass of wine. Some of our favorite TV characters are known to enjoy a glass of wine every now and then while others tend to over indulge but we love them nonetheless. Here’s a list of some of our favorite TV wine enthusiasts.

Olivia Pope (Scandal) – When Olivia Pope isn’t busy ‘shutting it down’ and handling a crisis for the leader of the free world who also happens to her secret lover, she knocks back wine like nobody’s business. Hey, when you’re job is damage control for the president, for sure you’d need a coping mechanism too!

April Ludgate (Parks and Recreation) – Everyone’s favorite deadpan, unenthused government employee isn’t a frequent wine drinker however, her character makes it a point to be a hilarious scene-stealer when she is.

The entire cast of Cougar Town – The characters’ antics on Cougar Town mostly involve heavy wine drinking. It’s rare that one of the characters don’t have a wine glass in hand or a bottle nearby. Their wine drinking usually leads to some funny situations and lessons learned.

Kathie Lee Gifford and Hoda Kotb (The Today Show) – These two are the living, drinking image of dedicated wine enthusiasts. While other morning news show hosts make an effort to bring Americans their news segments with as much dignity and professionalism as possible, these two have become known for their frequent on-air wine drinking and wine and alcohol segments. However, it’s their unconventional hosting technique that has made them household names and America’s favorite winos.

Lucille Bluth, Arrested Development — Nobody has idea what Lucille Bluth is like sober. Fairly certainly we’ve never seen her without a drink in her hand. Lucille Bluth’s prop department was the stemware section at Crate and Barrel.
